Week 135 Wrap Up

It was another one of those nights.  You know the kind.  Rainy, with that low hanging fog that seemed to pervade everything.  You didn't much see the moon much on a night like this.  And everypony who was out about town was out looking for trouble.  You could feel it in the way they glanced at you.  It was another Weekly art Wrap-Up night.

I'd hoped I could wait it out.  Hoped that this week, it'd be different.  Of course, things being different doesn't put hay on the table.  Stallion's gotta pay his bills.  And as I tried to flip through one of my open casefiles, wouldn't you know it, but that's when She walked in my office.  She strode in like she owned the place.  And before I could object, the satchel of bits that hit my desk made a noise that told me she probably could own it if she wanted.  A noise like that can sway a stallion's mind, even when his heart tells him that this mare is just after no good.

"They say you're the best.  I need you to find something for me."  Her dark blue mane and black coat shimmered like a gal who never needed to worry about where her next brushie was coming from.

"Lady, if you're throwing that much coin around, I doubt there's anything I can find that you can't get ahoof of yourself."

She smirked, "Not these." She opened up a manilla folder she'd had tucked under her wing.  My eyes were drawn to the images inside.  This mare was definitely trouble.  But I smiled just a bit as I scanned these images, starting to suspect that she was my kind of trouble.

"You've got good taste, it seems.  Alright Mrs, you've got yourself a deal." And with that, I'd cast my fate.  I was in for one hell of a night.  And for one hell of a Wrap up.

Week 134 Wrap Up

Change can be a good thing. It can bring about new opportunities to grow and transform ourselves, and to become better than what we are now. But it can also bring further hardships upon those who experience it, especially when the change is a physical one. But one things that hasn't changed is the continued presence of artwork within this blog. People continue to send in their creations to be shown here, as they have done since the beginning, even as the themes themselves change with every week. So, it's time to bring this conversation to a close and check out what's been created. Everypony, transform and roll out!

Now, I know terror birds eat horses but so do gryphons/griffins, and yet you see gryphons/griffins living peacefully with ponies in Equestria. So why can't Applestack be a terror bird in another world?

Week 133 Wrap Up

They say there's nothing better than a nice warm shower to get you up and ready for the day!  I disagree.  Personally, I'd rather sleep in.  I guess I'm just stuck on the previous theme.  I'll just curl up in this blanket and *yawn*... just... 15 more minutes, I swear.

Ugh.  Well, I guess I have to get up sometime, eh?  Fine.  But I won't be happy about it.  I will begrudgingly take that morning shower and head out and behave like a normal member of society for now.  The morning shower is the worst, just going to say that now.

If you want a compelling argument for me, it'd be the evening shower.  The one that comes before you curl up in bed and gently fall asleep.  That feeling of clean body and clean mind.  Clean sheets too.  If you can manage that, you have a little bit of heaven.  Hmm... I'm noticing a pattern here.  Maybe I'm too focused on sleep.

But these ponies aren't too focused on sleep to let themselves neglect their personal grooming!  They are showered, soaked, soaped, scrubbed, and shining!  This, mares and gentle colts, is how you get a clean pony:

Step 1 : Place pony in shower or tub of your choice.  (Tub of Jelly is optional, however, much less-conducive towards Cleaning said pony)
Step 2 : Add water.
Step 3 : Observe Wet-maned Pony.
Step 4 : Draw the outcome.

Week 132 Wrap Up

The day is done 
The sun is down 
The curtains have been drawn 
And darkness has descended over everything in town 
The covers have been turned and I've got my pajamas on 
I've had my fun I've stretched and yawned 
and all is said and done 
I'm going to bed 
Bed bed bed bed bed

Shhh... hear that?  That's the sound of everypony snuggling up in bed.  That adorable little squee as they toasty and warm, a pleasant winter storm just outside while they cuddle up next to a roaring hearth.  Idling the time away alone, or curling up with their loved ones. 

As snug as a bug in a rug, or so they say.  Although, let's get critical for a moment.  How snug, exactly, can a bug in a rug be?  What kind of rug is it?   And would the bug's position really be described as 'snug'?  What is the definition of 'snug' in this case anyways?  And transitively, knowing there is a bug in the rug, can anypony else really be able to get snug?  I'd say that the bugs days are numbered.... that bug better not get smug, you'd think that rug was some kind of drug.  But with a simple tug, that bug may find it's position unplugged.

Enough vamping.  We know why we're here!  And it has precious little to do with bugs, and more to do with hugs!  Yes, that was a long stretch to get to that particular rhythm, but I think its worth it.  And what's also worth it is the wonderful ponies pictured below, each lovingly as snug as a pony in a blanket.  It doesn't rhythm as well as the bug analogy.  But it is far cuter.
