Week 297 Wrap Up

Well, this week has been quite exciting, and a little spooOOOooky too! So much energy, both corporeal and spectral, on evidence right now that you just don't know if you should quiver with excitment or shiver with fright!

And artists all over the community have been picking up on this energy and instilling it into their creations. Which we, of course, have collected into this week's gallery.

Week 296 Wrap Up

Think, think, think. Think, think, think...

Hmm? Ah, no, not at all. I'm not trying to think about what to write here. Just pondering things in general. Like, why is the sky blue? No, not "Why is the sky that color," but rather "Why do we call that 'blue'?" Where did this word come from? And why is it such a common color amongst ponies? Pegasi at least gain camouflage against the sky when viewed from below, but how does this color benefit an earth pony or unicorn? The mind boggles.

But I'm not the only one who has been pondering various things as of late. Evidence of that can clearly be seen in this week's gallery. So feel free to put your own ponderings on pause for a bit, and take a look.

Week 295 Wrap Up

Hmm. Would a duck version of Daring Do be named Whip Quack?

Ah, you're all starting to arrive. Good, good! This week, we have a fine display of ponds and fowl. No, not 'foul' as in disgusting. 'Fowl' as in birds. Specifically ducks. These little birds are rather popular for their often comical behavior. And their preference for dwelling in tranquil waterways certainly isn't a negative.

But now, it is time to release the Quacken! Okay, even I thought that one was lame. Besides, it's actually just time to open up this week's Gallery. So allow me to duck out of the way and allow you to peruse the gallery. You're probably tired of the Anatidae puns anyways.

Week 294 Wrap Up

Artists are unusual people. When most people see a pile of rocks, they just see rubble. But an artist sees potential sculptures. When most people see a pile of pens, pencil sharpeners, and paper clips, they see random office supplies. But an artist sees a four-winged starfighter model waiting to be assembled. And even when looking at something typically viewed as art-related, they may very well see something other than the standard use for such items. Making a flat picture from a collection of small beads, for example.

As you can see, artists are indeed unusual people. But 'unusual' doesn't automatically mean 'bad'. So join us in our Gallery this evening, as we celebrate the creativity of these highly creative people!

Week 293 Wrap Up

Gathering and collecting are vital components of any functioning society. Without the resources gathered by various ponies, nothing could be produced. We'd have no steel without miners gathering iron and coal, no houses without the wood gathered by lumberjacks, and no fine foods without the raw ingredients gathered from the fields of Equestria's farmers!

And that is even what we do here, when you get right down to it. We gather up pictures into the collections displayed both in our DeviantArt galleries and in this blog. Though by 'we', I primarily mean all of you. We don't submit all these pictures ourselves, after all! But at any rate, I think it's time to let everypony in to view this week's collection. Enjoy!

HALT! WHO GOES TH- gaah! This Luna Voice Modulator thing is hurting my ears. Yeah, let's pass on that device, since it's likely painful to others as well.

At any rate, this week's theme has been royalty, and the commanding presence they have. Or maybe just the commands they give, as not all of the royals have a truly commanding presence. Just look at that oversized fop Blueblood, for example. Indeed, he's really the only example of that, as the rest of the prominent royal ponies have a truly commanding presence, one gained through the kind of respect Blueblood will likely never earn.

But I digress. So, without further ado, let's open up the gallery for this evening. This I command!

Week 291 Wrap Up

*yawn* Ever been up late? Like, really late? I mean late enough that you're so overtired you can't actually fall asleep? Yeah, that late. I was up that late last night. Such nights can have quite the negative impact on your brain. You can't make decisions quickly, have trouble remembering things, and you can also lose track... of... uhh...

Dangit, I lost track of where I was going with that line of thought. Oh well, enough of that. We do still have a gallery to run, after all. A gallery full of... pictures of... *yawn* What was our theme this week, again? Oh right, ponies being up too late. I'd have an easier time remembering that if I wasn't up too late last night.
