Week 166 Wrap Up

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

What a crazy week it's been.  Several lunatics managed to escape from the Ponyville Hospital, resulting in chaos throughout town.  Fortunately, no real harm was done, though apparently the local squirrel population has been complaining about getting chased up trees by a barking pony.

But then, there's always something crazy going on in this town.  Every day seems to bring some new form of insanity: odd forest animals, strange bug infestations, traveling party planners, dangerous forest animals,  powerful evil entities, giant dangerous forest animals...

Sometimes I wonder how the townsponies even manages to remain sane at all.

Fortunately, the local newsponies are ever ready to document this lunacy for the Ponyville Express, and some of their photos can be seen here.  Warning:  May not be for the faint of heart, or the sane of mind!

Submition to the theme "Mad Ponies"

It looks like you submitted the wrong picture to the blog, considering that your link goes to a different picture. Of course, Flandre is more than a little insane, so this pic still fits the theme quite well.

Upon Bon Bon's space she does infringe, with a smile that would make one cringe.

You said you wanted a M.A.D. pony, right?

"You start thinking too much about morality... That's insane..." Additional context in original description.

Maintaining one's sanity in an ongoing warzone is not easy. And that seems particularly true in the morally ambiguous Farcry universe.

Week 165 Wrap Up

Pony pulls the wagon. It's a mantra that has defined a generation. But these days, ponies have become much more versatile, capable of pulling all sorts of things. They can pull carriages, they can pull levers, they can pull ropes in a tug of war competition, and sometimes some unfortunate ponies can even pull a muscle. Back in the old day before steam locomotion, ponies would pull the trains. And you could be sure they were always on time.

Drawing isn't like pulling teeth you know. Sometimes, you can pull a fast one on yourself and think it's time to pull the plug, when in fact, it's time to stop pulling punches and pull up stakes. So pull yourselves together, this is no time to pull the wool over you eyes! Start pulling strings, pull rank, and pull out all the stops!

Wow, With all this pulling going on, you'd imagine ponies can get plum tired out. Maybe we should take a quick break, get a pull of cider, and take a load off.

Oh wait.

This door says Push. Nevermind then.

Punch pulling a perfect pint! Of cider, we assume, though peary would be more alliterative. If you're in an area where the term is not used, "pulling a pint" refers to the motion a barman makes when they pull the lever that lets them dispense beer or another beverage into a glass, as Berry Punch is doing in the picture.

Cider is such a refreshing drink, though too much makes it hard to think. - fetchbeer

Week 164 Wrap Up

Buttons, buttons, who's got the buttons?  Why, we've got the buttons of course!  All kinds of buttons!  Black buttons, brown buttons, blue buttons, funny little Red Buttons, buttons of any color!  Coat buttons, shirt buttons, pants buttons... what do you mean you don't know what pants are?

Well, you'd better get ready to button down the hatches, as the sailor ponies say, because we've... what do you mean it's 'batten', not 'button'?

*Ahem*  At any rate, we've also got election buttons, convention buttons, poker buttons, Big Red Buttons... actually, that may not be the button for you.

...

But nonetheless, step inside, good sir and/or ma'am, and see our selection for yourself:

Week 163 Wrap Up

Ah, the wonders of fan conventions!  So many events and panels to attend.  So many guest speakers to get autographs from.  So many costumed visitors to see, and perhaps photograph.  So many vendor stalls to browse through, and merchandise to purchase.  So much overpriced con food to consume.  So many lines to stand in.  So many ball pits to spend an extra hour in...

I think I'm getting off-track here.

Nonetheless, conventions are a great social gathering, allowing people to meet online friends in person, potentially make new friends, and just spend time in the company of other people who share their interests.  Much like the ponies seen here:

Week 162 Wrap Up

We just got a letter.
We just got a letter.
We just got a letter.
I wonder who it's from?

Yes! Nothing better than getting some mail from a friend. A letter, a package, an organ of unspecified origin shipped in ice from a country you've never heard of. Getting mail can be a chore, junk mail abounds, and sometimes those letters are just ponies who say you owe them bits, so you have to send them a delivery of said bits. It'd be pretty nice if you could get a package with bits in it every month.  That'd be pretty great. Sadly, this is not yet the case.

Of course, the opposite is true too. Sometimes packages can be wonderful. Some special item flown from the Amarezon Rainforest by special order, flown in by Pegasus carriers. Or, perhaps it's a gift from a friend... someone who just wants to tell you that they were thinking of you.  That you matter.  Special deliveries indeed.

Sometimes, deliveries can cause fire hazards in the main vendor hall! Or... well, that's another story entirely. But let's just say that sometimes the letters... well... they'll get to their destination alright. Maybe just not in the condition in which they were set.  My bad.  I just don't know what went wrong!

01. ScuriLevenstein

Where is this place to which packages are brought? Is it somewhere that giants fought? - fetchbeer
