Week 249 Wrap Up

Well, it's time to get things started. Indeed, it is a time for fresh starts, a time when everything is new again.

And no, I don't mean New Year's Day. It's the start of a new Season of episodes! And this season starts with a celebration of new life in the form of the newborn Flurry Heart. Not to be confused with Night Flurry, one of the resident weather pegasi.

So, in honor of these new beginnings, we've got some new artwork for everypony to view. And while that is hardly unusual in and of itself, these pictures follow the theme of new beginnings. You may see for yourself, just below the break:

Week 248 Wrap Up

Armor is the cornerstone of defense on the battlefield, and is a vital acquisition for any true warrior. The material and form of your armor will have a great impact on your ability to act; well-designed armor will allow you to act to your fullest potential, while armor ill-suited to you will be a great hindrance. Everything from the simple leathers of an adventurer to the exotic crystalline armor of the Crystal Empire could be acquired, should it be ideal for you. And I've even heard of pirates protecting themselves with 'Arr'mor.

Err, sorry about that.

But don't take my word for it. Just ask the various adventurers that have gathered here today.

I'm actually kinda glad this theme has drawn to a close. Living the wild life is just not something I'm well-adapted to, fun though it can be. But for those who are well-adapted to it, more power to you!

But seriously, watch out for those trees.

Week 246 Wrap Up

Egad! Quite! Stiff upper lip. I say! Err... Cheerio..? Wait, isn't that last one a cereal?

*clears throat*

Bah, who am I kidding; I'm no noblepony. I'm about as royal as a king crab, and nowhere near as fancy! Besides, I think all that was more 'Trottingham' than 'Royal' anyways. Though it is rather fancy, at least. I think...

At any rate, I'd better get on with it here. Somepony in a fancy blue box isn't gonna show up to help me if I run out of time, after all! So, this week is all about the fancy nobles of Canterlot and beyond! Ponies of noble birth and/or fancy garb have been immortalized in the paintings on display in our gallery, for ponies of all stations to enjoy! Jolly good show, everypony!

Week 245 Wrap Up

Ugh, what a mess that was.

I had hired a pair of stallions to help set everything up here tonight, as I new I would be short on time here. But when I arrived, everything was just in disarray! Pictures in the wrong places, rugs all bunched up, complimentary snacks ransacked; it was total chaos in here! So much for the old adage, 'Two heads are better than one'.

Thankfully, Invidlord could spare some time to help me out here. With two of us working together, the gallery was set up properly in... well not ten seconds flat, but at least quickly enough to be prepared for the opening. So I guess there is indeed some truth to the old adage 'Two heads are better than one', despite the poor job done by the two ponies I had hired.

Though in retrospect, hiring ponies that call themselves 'Flim' and 'Flam' was probably not a good idea in the first place.

Ooh...

I am not feeling well tonight. I'm not sure if I'm coming down with something, or if it was just something I ate, but I really feel out of it. Well, maybe I just have a case of the blahs. Well, the show must go on, as they say!

Err... or maybe not? It looks like everypony in here has come down with something. Is there a bad case of the Pony Pox going around? I've heard that the Feather Flu has resurged recently, but that just infects pegasi, right?

Well, whatever the case may be, it's time to pull out the blankets and start cooking some soup, for we've got some sick ponies to take care of tonight! ... ugh, possibly myself included...

Week 243 Wrap Up

Alright, fine. I'll write something more. I really should have known I wouldn't be allowed to get away with a two word Blogger entry.

At any rate, dates are the fruit of the date palm, known as phoenix dactylifera to ponies who study botany. Archaeological digs in Saddle Arabia have turned up evidence of dates being grown in the region long before the coming of Discord, showing that ponies have enjoyed dates for more than a thousand years. And I would like to say more about dates, but I doubt anypony came here to hear me give a lecture. And also because I was late to class on the day out teacher taught us about dates, and thus don't actually know anything more...

So instead, how about we turn our attention to this week's art, preferably before it gets any later. I don't want to keep anypony up so late that they end up falling asleep, after all.
