Oh, the Blogger still needs to be done, doesn't it? Well, I can worry about that later. As the old proverb goes, "Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow!"

Week 258 Wrap Up

Hello, hello! Good evening to you all, and welcome to tonight's exhibit about the wonder of Steam Power! Now, I'm sure you're all thinking about the great steam locomotives that arrive daily at Ponyville's railroad station, but that's not the only use of steam power in Equestria. It's merely the most obvious. Many buildings in Equestria's cities use steam for heating, keeping ponies warm through the cold winter nights without the risk of a chimney fire. Even here in Ponyville, you'll find examples of steam power. After all, the Ponyville Spa uses such machinery to keep the steam room nice and warm! And steamy, of course. So now, I present to you the Wonders of Steam!

*machinery whirrs into life, only to rapidly sputter out*

Wait, what's going on? Oh, great whickering stallions! The steam pipes have burst! How can we possibly do an exibit on steam power without steam? We're gonna need to get a mechanic in here lickety split! In the mean time, take a gander through the art exhibits set up in the East Hall. They may not be in motion, but you'll still find plenty of examples of steam power. And steamed ponies, for that matter. Our art procurer has a bit of a funny bone, it seems.

*cough* *wheeze...* Ugh. I think those 'Billy Goat Whiskers' were actually Alley Cat Whiskers. I hate it when I get those mixed up. Perhaps I should ask Twilight to organize and label all this stuff for me. It would certainly reduce my alchemical lab repair expenditures.

At any rate, while I deal with this mess, you guys should check out what everypony else has been cooking up. Their results have been less... incendiary than mine.

Hey! What's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a blimp? Wait, isn't that... uh oh! TAKE COVER!!

Ooh, that's gotta hurt! Ever since Rainbow Dash was moved off their Reserve List, the Wonderbolt shows have become a bit more... well, let's just say that it's a good thing Ponyville's construction teams are so experienced, due to repairing the damage from past monster and villain attacks.

But still, I doubt Rarity is going to be happy about the damage to her Boutique. Seriously, the errant pegasus crashed right through her front window and careened straight into her newly-released Summer Chic line! Well, I guess it's true: Rainbow Dash always crashes in style!

Week 254 Wrap Up

Sometimes, a pony needs to work alone. They might be handling a small task that doesn't require more than one worker; too many cooks spoil the soup, as they say. Or perhaps they're the only one present who can handle the job. This could be the result of other workers being sick, or perhaps away on vacation. Or it could be that this one pony is the only wizard in all of Equestria that knows how to safely dissipate the Harmonic Dissonance Emanations left behind by Discord's bout of the Blue Flue.

But for many ponies, having an assistant makes the task at hand considerably easier. Farmers need stout ponies to aid with planting, and later harvesting, the crops. Captains need deckhands to raise the sails and watch for land. Generals need fast messengers to relay commands to the troops. Even that previously-mentioned Wizard will appreciate having an apprentice around who can tell the difference between an alembic and a retort, and thus will not fetch the first when the wizard asked for the second.

Thus, this week we celebrate the assistants, co-workers, apprentices, and followers, without whom completing many tasks would not be possible!

Week 253 Wrap Up

Hey, everypony! I've got some good news! I've been working on my comedy act! ...Wait, where's everypony going?

Okay, okay, fine. No more jokes. Jeez, tough crowd. Well, no jokes from me, at least. After all, comedy is the theme for this week. So get ready for a lot more jokes this evening! We've got a full slate of comedians ready to regale you with rib-ticklers of all sorts. And if they're bad ones, then just remember that I'm not the one on stage. So don't throw your tomatoes at me.

Oh, and just to reassure you all, we made sure that Discord never found out about this event, so there won't be any eldritch 'friends' around tonight. But we've got every mental health professional in this half of Equestria on hoof, just to be on the safe side.
