At any rate, what I just gave you is a genuine secret agent gadget! Indeed, it's so secret that even I don't know what it does! Maybe it fires a laser. Maybe it explodes! Maybe it works as a 4G cellphone. Maybe it turns into a delicious chocolate cake!

Well, actually, that last one is most likely a falsehood. But the pictures below the break are certainly not lies! ...and most likely won't explode either.

Nova and Gem's friendship started off being extremely weak and superficial (and by that I mean not very deep by Gem's definitions). For Gem, anything about her "friends", she had to know everything about to ensure she could trust them or leave them. Gem goes too far by unearthing a secret that Nova that wants to keep hidden from the world that he and his aunt only know about. Also, this image is extremely high-resolution that it's hard to appreciate as a low-res thumbnail.

Week 225 Wrap Up

Goals are very important things. Yep, goals are VIP's... err, T's. Goals help us to improve by giving us a clear objective to strive for, and steps to follow along the way.

But, one needs to be careful about the goals one chooses, as a poorly chosen goal will pretty well guarantee a lack of success. An obvious example of this is a goal that is too grand or far-reaching to be readily attained. For example, creating a full-blown, AAA-style video game is not a good choice of goals, if one has never done any game design or programming work before. Another classic example of a bad goal is winning the lottery. Lotteries aren't skill-based; they are pure random chance. Thus, they are not something that one can improve with practice.

Of course, there are other types of goals out there. Like the kind you score when you kick a ball into a net. But whatever one's goal may be, it certainly feels great to attain it! Just ask the ponies below:

Week 223 Wrap Up

A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse! Or a pony. Or something...

I think this play may still need a bit of editing. I've been told it was written by... some famous guy whose name I can't recall. My brain is like that. But still, half the writing here looks like Princess Luna-speak. I just hope it's not spoken at Princess Luna volume; my eardrums would not be happy about that, and I doubt the audience's eardrums would be either. So yeah, I think this play needs work.

But then again, I'm just a stagehoof here. It's not my job to review the script, it's my job to make sure all the technical work is handled properly. Somepony's gotta set up the scenery, maintain the props, handle the lighting, raise and lower the curtain, and so on and so on. And that pony is me! And the rest of the stage crew of course; I can't do all of that myself! We'd end up looking like a poorly run grade school performance. And something billed as a Great Tragedy shouldn't be in the running for Best Comedy Act, if you get what I mean.

Week 222 Wrap Up

Alright, everypony. We've got a mystery on our hands! ...err, yes. I know ponies don't actually have hands. And no, that's not the mystery. And what is the mystery, you might ask? Well...

I don't know. That is the mystery that we must solve: finding out what the mystery is! After all, how can we unmask the villain behind the monster if we don't even know what monster is terrorizing the locals. For that matter, we don't even know if there is a monster in the first place! This could be a different kind of mystery; perhaps a whodunit, like the ones that Prancy Drew becomes entangled in. Or a Daring Do-style artifact hunt!

Or maybe we'll just need to figure out what the mystery toy in my cereal box is.

Hello, everypony, and welcome to the wonderful world of fashion! Ponies of all walks of life have gathered here today to check out the newest line of dresswear from the hottest new designers. And there's so much energy here! The glitz and glam, the posh and pizzazz, the bacon and eggs... Wait, this last cue card is a gryphon breakfast menu. Now how did that get in here?

Ugh... Things have been so tiring as of late. All this stuff with spacefarers and special pilots and 'parsecs' has made a mess of our art supply... err, supply lines. We've got all sorts of pencils and markers and sheets of paper that need to be sorted out, and we've got the opening of the new gallery tonight to boot!

Oh, right. The new gallery! This is what you're all here for, after all; not to listen to the griping of an overworked staffer who's probably dragging this "Ham Salad" gag out too far. *clears throat*
